General expectations:
i. This website is PG rated, there will be little to no swearing and sexual activity of any kind is not allowed. ii. There will be no lying, impersonations, deciet on this website. iii. Plagiarism of any kind is not tolerated and will result in a ban from the forum. v. DO NOT PM any staff members, with the exception of myself, regarding character bios. I will handle it and give you proper feedback according to content. However, only send a PM to me if the pending character is AT LEAST twenty-four hours old. Though it is preferable you wait forty-eight hours before PMing me. Do listen to me, as I know what I'am doing. If you don't like what I say DO NOT go to another staff member, they will not provide you with an answer you like anymore than myselfs. vi. Any content, be it an image, post, link, or etc, may be removed without warning and/or notification at the discretion of the staff if it is found to be disgusting, offensive, or deemed in appropriate to any standard. vii. Advertisement is to be contained to the advertising board only, meaning no PMs, no emails, no new threads in other places, etc. viii. Given the nature of this site as an RPG, members are expected to adhere to the basic rules of spelling and grammar. Chatspeak is strongly discouraged. Any members feeling that their skills in these areas are lacking may contact an RP Tutor.
Staff Members:
Staff members should be treated fairly, they have earned their positions. Do not annoy them as just like you they have lives. If there is a staff position available, then there will be a certain time in which you may apply for the position. There should be no asking for staff positions at any other time than that. Any members that feel abused, mistreated or harrassed in any way should PM myself, who will handle your problem and deal with it as needed. Note: RP Tutors are selected privatley, they are not a postion that can be applied for.
i. Administrator — In charge of the smooth operation of the forum and managing the rest of the staff, as well as the various odd jobs that are necessary for the forum to operate. Accept/Inspect character applications. ii. Global Moderator — Handles moderator functions, in charge of managing the moderators, performs duties of administrator, and occasionally may run the site .Accept/Inspect character applications. iii. Moderators — Handle member complaints regarding IC behavior, rule violations , enforce the rules in the OOC Boards and Cbox, Report serious problems to the rest of the staff, Accpet/Inspect character applications. iv. Advertiser — Manage affiliations with other sites, post advertisements on other forums, accept/inspects character applications. v. Librarians — Maintain order in lists, update the face claim thread, help with some of the basic coding in the website, accept/inspect character applications. vi. RP Tutors — Helpfully respond to threads in the RP Tutoring boards, occasionally create RP Guides, look for members in need of tutoring, maintain RP Tutoring boards and accept/inspect character applications.
Characters:
i. Characters must be submitted by creating a new thread here and by following the template provided. ii. Characters must be accepted by a staff member before they can be used in any sort of thread. iii. Characters need to follow the requirments of creating a bio i.e two paragraphs for appearance, three for personality etc. iv. Don't argue with Staff members, be polite and fix what they ask you to. It will be the quickest and easiest way to get your character accepted. v. No person is flawless. No charcter is to, so make sure you add flaws to your characters, everyone has them. vi. There is no limit to how many characters you can have, but just make sure you keep them all active to a certain degree. If your charcter is inactive a staff member may remove the bio to the inactive board. To change this PM any staff member and they will move it for you, just as long as you keep it active. There will be regular activity checks. vii. Power-play of other peoples characters is not acceptable, unless you have notified the RPer and they have agreed with it. If it has not been agreed upon, the post will be edited. viii. Members are allowed to claim celebrities as play-bys (or face claims) for their characters, and should follow the guidelines on the Face Claim thread.
Roleplaying:
i. RPing with a character that hasn't been accepted is prohibited. ii. A minimum of one good-length paragraph is expected for each response. More is preferable. iii. Controlling someone else's character (powerplaying) is expressly forbidden. This ranges from shaking their hand without them offering it to making their character say something or perform an action. iv. Godmodding is likewise prohibited. Your character is not invincible, they live and die like us. v. It is permissible for characters to be in as many threads as they would like. vi. ask permission before you join other peoples threads. vii. Excessive amount of OOC, is not allowed, that is why we have the personal message system.
